Every domain name needs to point to DNS ( Domain Name Servers )which connect a domain name to its corresponding web server where the site is hosted.

You have to change the DNS in your domain registrar provided control panel. You CANNOT change the DNS in your cpanel.

In order to change the DNS you should

1. Visit the website where you registered your domain name from. If it provides a control panel for domain administration, login into that and look for links where you can modify or change your DNS. Use the links provided to change the DNS. If your registrar was your previous web host and it does not provide you with a login to do this then you must contact their support to get it done. Similarly incase you are entirely new to this process you can contact your domain registrar support and have the DNS changed for you.

2. Once the DNS have been changed, it can take around 6 to 12 hours to propagate completely over the internet. During this time all you got to do is to wait.

Once the DNS has propagated your site should start pointing to our web servers and you should be able to use the services.
