Is Your Website Mobile-Friendly? (And What To Do If It Isn’t)
Posted on 01 May 2015 by Adam
Back in February, Google announced that they’d be making an update to their mobile search algorithm. This update came into effect on 21st April, with reports of mobile search rankings changing over the days that followed.
Though you might not be too worried about your website being mobile-friendly, it’s important if you want your website to rank as high as possible in search results.
How to check if your website is mobile-friendly:
- Head over to Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test
- Enter the URL of your website
- Hit ‘Analyze’, and you’ll get the result in seconds
If you get a pass – like above, great job! You should be good to go, and will benefit from the update.
Is your website failing the test?
If you’re now getting a pass, and want your website to do well in mobile search, you’ll need to look at creating a responsive website.
If you care about rankings or the website is for a business, you should look for a more professional solution – perhaps with a specialist web development company.
